A Love Letter to the Overthinkers

KSL Art

You've already thought about this more than you needed to.

You know that, right?

You ran the scenario seventeen times. You considered every possible outcome, every way it could go wrong, every version of yourself that might emerge on the other side. You built entire futures in your head before breakfast.

And then — somewhere in the middle of all that thinking — you got tired.

That's the thing nobody tells you about overthinking. It's exhausting not because you're weak, but because you're thorough. You care deeply. You want to get it right. You're trying to protect yourself from something.

But at some point, the thinking becomes the thing you're hiding inside.

I Think I'm Over Overthinking started as a joke I made to myself. A wry, knowing laugh at my own patterns. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized — it's not really a joke. It's a declaration. A small, quiet act of deciding to come back to the present.

You don't have to solve it all today.

You just have to notice when the loop starts. Take a breath. Maybe drink your coffee from a mug that gets it.

The overthinkers are some of my favorite people. This one's for you.
